Sum Fun

I am a person that loves match and skill games in general, so being able to play such a title is what attracted me to Sum Fun in the first place. This is a very interesting game that seamlessly manages to combine math, strategy and memory into a highly interesting, unique game that you just can’t find anywhere else right now.

Unlike many other games that focus on simplicity, Sum Fun is one that’s easy to learn and understand. In fact, it focuses mostly on the idea of helping you obtain a stellar set of results very fast and at your own convenience. The game actually enables you to increase your math skill, which is something you can rarely see in mobile games.

The interface is nicely designed and it offers a multitude of great gameplay ideas, but at the same time it’s also refined and brings in immense potential right from the start.

I liked the fact that there are many board shapes to choose from, starting with squares and robots then ending with invaders or pyramids. It’s the diversity that makes the entire experience very refined and interesting unlike never before, but at the same time I feel that the gameplay is very good as well.

The tutorial included by the developer is to the point, so if you don’t have a clue what’s going on right now, then you just need to access the tutorial section and that’s it.

I found the idea of emptying the board to be somewhat familiar from other puzzle games, however the way you do it is unique and interesting. If you drag a piece to an empty square and it matches the last digit of the sum of all neighbors, then you will remove the entire set of neighbors.

It might sound a little tricky at first, but you will see that as you play things are getting more and more interesting and fun. It’s very exciting to play the title and you will love the challenges brought by the shape of each board, mainly because there are so many things to do in the first place. Playing this game is an adventure on its own, one that brings you many ways to test your math knowledge.

I do feel that the game could use some more levels, but they will surely come in the next updates. Even so, while we have here is very impressive, it’s a great insight into the world of math but provided in a very interesting, exciting manner unlike never before. It’s a solid math game, one that brings in interesting gameplay ideas and which has a stellar execution. Don’t let this one slip through your fingers, it’s a very good title and with a lot of things going on for it. You should try it out for yourself, it’s well worth your time!
